KANSAS CITY, Kan. – The Kanas City T-Bones announced today that former University of Kansas Jayhawk and current member of the NBA Sacramento Kings, Frank Mason III, will throw out the ceremonial first pitch opening night at T-Bones Stadium Tuesday May 22nd.
Mason, the 2017 consensus National Player of the Year will meet with the media during the game for a press gathering, and he will meet and sign autographs for fans for an hour during the T-Bones game Tuesday night. Proceeds of the autograph session will benefit Children’s Mercy Hospital and the National Youth Foundation.
Mason was the Big 12 Player of the year and Consensus First Team All-American while with KU before being selected by the Kings in the Second Round (34th overall) in 2017. Mason is scheduled to host his first annual Frank Mason III & Friends Charity Softball game at 3:00 pm on Saturday June 16 at T-Bones Stadium with gates opening at 1:00 pm.
