The Kansas City T-Bones and manager Tim Doherty have announced that outfielder Aharon Eggleston has been signed to a contract for the 2011 season.

Eggleston, 29, returns to Kansas City after spending the 2010 campaign with the Winnipeg Goldeyes. The Las Vegas native batted .311/.378/.407 with three home runs and 31 RBI over 86 games last season. He spent the previous three years with the T-Bones, hitting .324/.386/.431 with 11 home runs and 168 RBI in 277 games. He set a T-Bones single-season record for stolen bases with 36 during their 2008 championship season.

“Aharon was an integral part of our championship team in 2008,” Doherty said, “and he continues to produce at a high level. He will strengthen both our lineup and team defense this season.”

Eggleston began his professional career with the Edmonton Cracker-Cats in 2005. He enters the 2011 season with a .316 career average.
