T-Bones Add to Exhibition Schedule
T-Bones add Frontier League opponent for weekend games
KANSAS CITY, Kan. – The Kansas City T-Bones of the independent Northern League have announced an addition to their exhibition schedule. The T-Bones and the River City Rascals of the independent Frontier League have agreed to play two exhibition games over the weekend at CommunityAmerica Ballpark. The two teams will play at 7 p.m. Friday May 11 and at 10 a.m. Saturday May 12. Saturday’s contest will be the first ever “Farmer’s Market Classic” as the T-Bones Market will be taking place during the game.
Fans will have an opportunity to get another sneak peek at the 2007 T-Bones before opening day. All tickets on Friday will be five-dollar general admission. Season ticket holders can get in free by displaying proper identification at the box office by Gate B. Admission to Saturday’s game is free courtesy of the farmer’s market. Due to the rainout last Sunday versus Lincoln, T-Bones manager Andy McCauley wanted some additional live game action to get the players ready for the upcoming Northern League season.
“It’s a great opportunity for our fans to come on out and check out the new T-Bones and the new farmer’s market at CommunityAmerica Ballpark,” said T-Bones general manager Rick Muntean. “This is a series we hope we can continue with River City for years to come.”
The T-Bones open the season at home on Thursday May 17 against the Schaumburg Flyers at 7:05. Tickets are still available by calling the T-Bones ticket office at (913) 328-5618.
