05/04/2007 4:34 PM - KANSAS CITY, Kan. – Andy McCauley and the new-look Kansas City T-Bones will take the field together for the first time today, May 4 versus the St. Joe Blacksnakes in an exhibition game scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at CommunityAmerica Ballpark. The T-Bones will start Jonathan Krysa but will also use Anthony Boughner, Travis Schlichting, Jon Hunton, and possibly Logan McElwain in relief.
Managing the Blacksnakes will be former T-Bones manager “Dirty” Al Gallagher. Also making a return to CommunityAmerica Ballpark are former T-Bones James Beaver and Chad Sosebee. Beaver spent part of the 2006 season with the T-Bones primarily as a catcher but also spent time on the mound. He missed significant playing time with an injury. Sosebee served as the T-Bones primary shortstop the past two seasons, and is also the only player in franchise history to play in all 96 games (2006 season).
The T-Bones will head north Saturday night to St. Joe and return home to take on the Lincoln SaltDogs, formerly of the Northern League, Sunday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. Both teams play in the independent American Association. The Wyandotte Showdown will conclude the T-Bones' exhibition season, when they take on Kansas City Kansas Community College on Monday at 7:00 at CommunityAmerica Ballpark, both teams' home park.
