KANSAS CITY, Kan. – For the third straight week a T-Bones player has earned a Northern League weekly honor as T-Bones starting pitcher Kenny Durost was named Northern League Pitcher of the Week for the week ending June 9.
Durost pitched eight innings of three-hit shutout ball against the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks on June 7 at CommunityAmerica Ballpark. Durost struck out nine on his way to his second win of the season. It was the most strikeouts by a T-Bones pitcher since August 26, 2006 when Hank Woodman matched that number.
The right-hander is currently third in the league with 28 strikeouts and seventh in the league with a 2.90 ERA over 31 innings.
