KANSAS CITY, Kan. – The Kansas City T-Bones have announced that former major-league slugger Jose Canseco will be at CommunityAmerica Ballpark on Sunday, Aug. 3.
Canseco, who hit 462 home runs during his 17-year big-league career, will be participating in a media/celebrity softball game at 3 p.m., followed by a pregame batting practice exhibition, an autograph signing (for a nominal fee) in the Meat Locker during the first three innings of T-Bones game vs. St. Paul, and then a home run derby after the game, presented by Goodcents and Spirit Airlines. All of this will benefit Harvesters, a Kansas City area community food bank.
