Frank White and Ozzie Smith Help Raise Money for Children’s Miracle Network, Kansas City
KANSAS CITY, Kan. — Missouri baseball legends Frank White and Ozzie Smith will create the best middle infield in baseball at the Willie Wilson T-Bones Classic game Saturday July 14th. White and Smith will join 18 other former players and celebrities at CommunityAmerica Ballpark in a game to raise money for the Children’s Miracle Network, Kansas City. Between the two of them, White and Smith have more than 4,400 hits, 21 Gold Gloves, 20 All-Star Games, 2 League Championship MVPs, and 2 World Series Rings.
“We’re thrilled to have these two baseball greats take the field together,” said T-Bones General Manager Rick Muntean. “What each of them mean to their fans and their communities is immeasurable.”
Joining White and Smith is a full lineup of former baseball stars. Players who have already committed to playing in the ‘Classic’ include: Willie Wilson, Amos Otis, John Mayberry, Bert Campaneris, Bobby Dernier, Al Fitzmorris, Dave Parker, Greg Pryor, J.R. Richards, Ron Robinson, Steve Trout, Ed Hearn, Joe Azcue, Bill Pecota, Fred Patek and Tommy Davis as managers, and celebrity MC Jon Warden.
