For Kansas City pitcher Nathan Sevier, it was his first loss of the season, now at 2-1. He allowed three runs and six hits in six innings. He also walked four and struck out six.

Last year, Sevier, 23, was 2-0 with a 1.72 ERA in four games for the Long Beach (California) Breakers in the independent Western League.

Mick Pageler threw a perfect eighth inning for the Saltdogs.

T-Bones players Taber Maier, Ray Brown and Chad Ehrnsberger were responsible for the three hits. Ehrnsberger’s was a home run in the fifth inning.
