The Kansas City T-Bones (3-1) were unable to finish off a four-game sweep of the El Paso Diablos (1-3) on Sunday night as they fell, 11-5, in the series finale at Cohen Stadium in El Paso, TX.

Kansas City took a quick 1-0 lead against Josh Blanco in the first inning on a sacrifice fly by Aharon Eggleston. The Diablos answered in the bottom of the frame, scoring three times against Reid Santos (0-1) to gain a 3-1 advantage. Former T-Bone Kyle Nichols did the most damage in the inning, driving in two with a double to cap a string of four-straight hits to start the frame.

The T-Bones picked up three runs on two hits and two El Paso errors in the second to reclaim the lead, 4-3. Rico Washington drove in the final two runs of the inning with a double, pushing his league-leading RBI total to 11.

Blanco left after three-plus innings having surrendered four runs, one earned, on four hits while striking out seven and walking six.

El Paso came back with three runs on four hits and one error in the bottom of the second for the final lead change of the game. They added another run in the third and capitalized on two T-Bones errors in the fourth to score twice and push the tally to 9-4.

Santos took the loss after allowing nine runs, seven earned, on 12 hits over three and one-thirds innings.

Kyle Dahman took over for Santos with one out in the fourth and surrendered two runs over two and two-thirds innings of relief. Steven Stewart allowed just two hits over two innings to finish the game for Kansas City.

The T-Bones picked up their final run in the eighth when Keanon Simon tripled with one out and scored on a groundout by Jimmy Mojica.
