Three Sioux City Explorers all homered for the second time in three preseason games as the X's topped the Kansas City T-Bones, 8-6, in an exhibition baseball game in Topeka, KS on Monday night.

The former Northern League rivals will be reunited this summer as Central Division foes in the expanded 14-team American Association, adding the T-Bones along with Fargo-Moorhead, Winnipeg and Gary.

Shortstop Ryan Priddy opened the scoring for Sioux City with a two-run homer in the first inning, following up a solo shot in the X's 12-5 loss Saturday at Yankton, S.D., to the Sioux Falls Pheasants.

A solo homer by Javier Brito and a two-run blast by T.J. Bohn were also the second for those two veterans, who each homered in a 9-2 rout of the Pheasants on Friday in Huron, S.D.

Ray Serrano chipped in a two-run homer for the X's, who sported a 7-1 lead after six innings, getting four scoreless innings from rookie Taylor King.

Andrew Snowdon surrendered three runs in the seventh inning and Eddie De La Cruz allowed two more in the eighth to let the T-Bones close within 7-6.

[Former T-Bone] David Trahan got the last out in the eighth and former major leaguer Emiliano Fruto finished up for the save. Meanwhile, Priddy picked up an insurance run after being hit by a pitch, stealing second, moving to third on a long fly ball and scoring on a wild pitch.

The three home runs hiked the team total to eight homers in three games.

Kansas City has now completed their 2011 exhibition schedule. The T-Bones begin their 2011 campaign against the El Paso Diablos in El Paso, TX on May 12 and will host the Gary SouthShore RailCats in their home opener on May 17.
