Providence Medical Center and Saint John Hospital reach five-year partnership agreement with the Kansas City T-Bones
02/09/2005 7:46 AM - The Kansas City T-Bones have extended their sponsorship agreement with nearby Providence Medical Center and Saint John Hospital for the next five years.
Key components of the agreement include title sponsorship of the T-Bones popular reading program (for which more than 3,000 area children have already been registered), health screenings at the ballpark and two employee hospital nights. In addition, the hospitals provide the T-Bones official athletic trainer and medical personnel at Fan Services for all events at CommunityAmerica Ballpark. Physicians associated with Orthopaedic Professional Association (OPA) provide medical care during the course of the baseball season.
Providence and Saint John have been a major sponsor of the T-Bones since the teams Kansas City inception for the 2003 season.
We are thrilled to expand out partnership with Providence and Saint John for the coming years, said T-Bones Vice President Adam Ehlert. Weve increased our collective involvement each of the past two years, and this five-year agreement will serve to assure our fans and our players that we will continue to receive the same top-notch care weve come to expect and appreciate from Providences professionals.
Additionally, Ehlert continued, the recent announcement of Saint Johns new facility in Leavenworth solidifies the fact that they are the premier healthcare provider here in our community, and were very excited to continue working with them. Saint John Hospital announced in January the construction of a new 150-bed facility on the campus of the current hospital at 3500 S. 4th Street, in Leavenworth, Kansas.
Jim Paquette, Providence and Saint John CEO as well as chairman of the Kansas City, Kansas Chamber of Commerce, says that CommunityAmerica Ballpark is a major component to the successful expansion of western Wyandotte County. The T-Bones have brought entertainment to a whole new levelattracting thousands of fans from not only Wyandotte County, but across the metropolitan area. This has provided us with an opportunity to expand our sports medicine program and has served as a springboard to attracting other sports teams. Our partnership provides us with strong brand awareness, employee, volunteer and physicians recognition opportunities with complimentary tickets and a suite and an effective way to reach out to the community.
