Trout, Former Frog, Now Beef

Kansas City T-Bones manager Andy McCauley has announced the signing of rookie infielder Steven Trout. Trout started the season with the Fort Worth Cats in the American Association where he played in 12 games before playing in 25 South Coast League games with the Macon Music. He hit a combined .248 with 14 RBI coming off his senior season at Texas Christian University.
 
While with TCU in 2007, Trout was fourth on the team with a .326 average, second on the team with a .438 on-base percentage and second on the team in doubles with 18. He was also in the top five in nearly every other offensive category last season with the Horned Frogs.
