KANSAS CITY, Kan. – On Wednesday, August 29, the Kansas City T-Bones will host their inaugural Rock, Paper, Scissors Tournament at CommunityAmerica Ballpark. The event will start at 6:00 p.m. on the main concourse, and will feature 64 competitors.
Once the field of 64 competitors is narrowed to the final eight, the last three rounds will take place on top of the dugouts between innings of the T-Bones game. The winner of the tournament will win tickets to a future T-Bones game and a prize-package including t-shirts, bobbleheads and other prizes.
“Rock, Paper, Scissors is a game that has been settling disputes for ages, but is just now starting to see a rise in popularity on the international level,” said Bear Goodell, T-Bones Director of Marketing and Promotions. “The World Championships are being held in Toronto this year, with the winner getting a $7,000 prize purse. What better way to celebrate the game’s rise in popular culture than with a tournament at the local level? It'll be fun.”
Participants in the tournament are encouraged to arrive at 5:30 and will receive one free berm ticket for admission to the baseball game. If you are interested in registering for the event, please contact Bear Goodell at (913) 328-5641 or email him at firstname.lastname@example.org. Registration is limited to the first 64 entrants.
