Picking up from where they left off on June 23, the Kansas City T-Bones and Winnipeg Goldeyes completed a suspended game tonight with the Goldeyes earning a 5-4 victory over 12 total innings.
On June 23, the two teams made it through 10 innings before lightning forced the suspension with one out in the top of the 11th. Helps singled again to begin the fourth for Kansas City and later scored on a throwing error by Walker. The game would stay tied until the game was suspended with a 0-2 count on Dustin Richardson. Derek Duclos took the mound for Kansas City tonight when the game resumed and induced a foulout to Richardson. Following a walk, Duclos struck out the next batter to end the frame.
Juan Diaz homered with two out in the 12th to push the final to 5-4. Duclos took the loss after allowing one run on one hit over one and two-thirds innings.
