T-Bones Win Sixth Straight on McAllister’s Gem

Cody McAllister (6-3) allowed just one run over seven innings and the Kansas City T-Bones (33-17) hit three home runs in a 5-1 win over the Joliet JackHammers (26-23) in front of 5,746 fans Friday night at CommunityAmerica Ballpark.

McAllister was solid in his seven innings of work, facing one over the minimum through five innings. He allowed just four hits while walking one and striking out five, including fanning the side in the second.

Ryan Fox opened the scoring off Joliet starter Bear Bay (4-4) in the second with a solo home run, the T-Bones first of three home runs on the night.

Joliet scored their lone run in the fourth on a home run by Kevin Rios before the T-Bones took the lead for good in the bottom half when Dwayne White hit a three-run home run, giving Kansas City a 4-1 advantage.

Jimmy Mojica hit a solo shot in the seventh to cap the scoring at 5-1.  Bay departed following the seventh, allowing five runs on eight hits while striking out four and walking one.

Steven Stewart threw a scoreless eighth for Kansas City, and Kevin Light worked a scoreless ninth.

The T-Bones have now won six straight, and their victory snapped a seven-game winning streak for Joliet.

Prior to the game, Kansas City signed right-handed pitcher Casey Hodges.
